Our Investment Advisor Representatives manage money in the best interests of our clients. Unlike brokerage firms, we do not engage in other business activities such as investment banking or underwriting. We sit on the same side of the table as our clients.
Investment Advisor Representatives charge clients an agreed upon service fee that is properly aligned with the client’s goals and objectives whilst leveraging the advisor’s expertise. In addition to an advisory fee, mutual funds and exchange traded funds (“ETFs”) have internal management fees that are not reflected in the investment advisor fee. Those internal expenses can vary for a portfolio using both mutual funds and ETFs. None of these internal expenses are paid to HHM Wealth in any way.
Many funds and ETFs available to HHM Wealth Advisors, LLC through our primary custodian, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., do not have transaction fees of any kind. That said, if we use mutual funds or ETFs that are subject to transaction fees, we would communicate an estimate of those costs upfront. Again, these transaction fees do not benefit HHM Wealth in any way.
